Happy Valentine’s Day!

Valentine's Day heart in a tree

For the cost of a dozen red roses at this time of the year, you could buy a beautiful young tree, plant it in the garden and have a permanent reminder of your love…just a thought!

Whilst a bunch of flowers is a beautiful gift to receive, they’re very temporary and there’s always something so sad when they have to be thrown out (hopefully into the compost bin). Why not give a gift this Valentine’s Day that can be thriving year on year – if you haven’t got room for a tree, consider a winter-flowering shrub.

If you’d like to know a bit more about planting trees, have a look at our page here: Tree Planting

And if you really haven’t got any space left in your garden, why not get in touch with The Woodland Trust – for less than a bunch of roses, you can Dedicate a Tree to someone you love! Have a look at the following link for more information: Dedicate a Tree
